The National Crime Victim Bar Association (NCVBA) welcomes requests from attorneys seeking amicus support in cases that may significantly affect the rights and interests of crime victims. From time to time, NCVBA may participate in litigation through the filing of amicus curiae briefs where we believe our involvement can have a meaningful impact and advance important issues affecting victims’ rights. Individuals may submit requests for consideration by providing information about the case, the legal issues involved, relevant deadlines, and the potential implications for crime victims. Requests will be reviewed by NCVBA’s Amicus Committee. Preference is given to requests submitted by NCVBA members. Please note that the NCVBA Amicus Committee is composed of volunteer attorneys. While we are committed to supporting cases that present important opportunities to advance victims’ rights, our resources are limited, and we may not be able to participate in every matter brought to our attention. Please allow 5 business days for a response from our amicus committee regarding your request. | Any amicus briefs filed in support of a case will be submitted through NCVBA’s parent organization, the National Center for Victims of Crime. Cases in which the NCVBA Amicus Committee have submitted briefs include:
