WA moves to eliminate time limits for child sex abuse lawsuits

We applaud Washington state lawmakers for advancing House Bill 1618. There should be no statute of limitations for civil litigation seeking damages for childhood sexual abuse, and this bill will help survivors seek justice — no matter how long ago the abuse happened.

Our executive director, Renée Williams, spoke to a Washington Senate committee in support of this legislation last week. We hope to see this important bill become law soon.
